Renovation on the Park
New York, NY
This apartment was completely renovated to open up views to the park and meet the needs of the clients. Originally a two-bedroom apartment, the second bedroom was opened up to function as a library/den, but can still be closed off for the occasional guest. A large mahogany sliding wall separates the kitchen from the dining room. The wall can be opened to connect the two spaces, but for formal dinner, the wall can be closed to conceal the work in the kitchen. A bar was created out of a space that was formerly a butler’s pantry. Bathrooms were expanded, where possible, to enlarge the shower and create his-and-her sinks.
