Pinnacle Farms
Cornwall, CT
Designed for maximum luxury and comfort, this 90,000-square- foot barn is one of the largest timber-framed structures built in North America in the last century. The 40-foot- tall rotunda in the center is a feat of master carpentry, using only dowels (no nails) to construct the truss system. A home for the owner’s eighty prized Friesian horses, the stable is equipped with separate wings for mares and stallions, a vet lab, a caretaker’s apartment and a farm manager’s office.
