  • Sustainable Modernity: The LEED-Certified Home in Greenwich, CT

In Greenwich, CT, Hobbs, Inc. has transformed a 1960s residence into an example of sustainability and modern design, achieving LEED certification through meticulous planning and construction. This project highlights our commitment to environmental stewardship without compromising on aesthetic appeal or modernity. By preserving the original foundation and optimizing the new layout, we've created a home that not only respects its past but is firmly rooted in the future.

The design, led by Amanda Martocchio Architecture & Design, features floor-to-ceiling glazing that removes the boundaries between indoor spaces and the natural landscape beyond. Every aspect, from solar orientation and triple-glazing to rainscreen exterior cladding, was chosen for its contribution to a thermal envelope that exceeds the required energy efficiency.

Interior spaces, curated by Gary Cruz Studio, reflect a balance between form and function, and every room is a testament to sustainable luxury. Photographed by Michael Moran, the home stands as a model of how innovative design and environmental responsibility can coexist, setting a new standard for luxury homes in Greenwich and beyond.
